Trees
are graceful and beautiful. They are like the females species of humans. They
have limbs coming from the main trunk, though many more. These are very curvy
and graceful as a women’s arms and legs.
There
attire is also similar. In spring, a see through light covering of green like a
ladies negligee. In summer time the full splendor of their dress. The Ball
dresses of golden in autumn show off their beauty. Winter the time of undressing
before sleep.
Remember
trees are graceful; they are not made up of varying bits of square planks. Put a
little thought and curvature into your sketches.

The best way to get familiar with trees is to look at them. You don't have to go far, just take a stroll around your neighbourhood. It's useful if you take snapshots as reference.

Use
the above sketch as the basis of a picture and add in a little imagination to
create a complete scene. With a pencil shade in your sketch we will then apply
watercolour over this. Also in the painting we will try to obtain colour
perspective or aerial perspective as it is sometimes called.

Try and match the colours from the mixing exersizes on page 7
